Information Technology (IT) is a very broad term that refers to all equipments (hardware) and all the programming associated with each of these devices (software and firmware) that acquire, store, process, transmit and display, so anthropomorphic, information.
Nowadays there is a whole culture with respect to Information Technology that permeates many different activities in the world. Internet and its associated technologies form, maybe, the entity that best represents the IT culture.
As na Internet provider, Ansp seeks to upgrade in that IT offers every day in the market, but within a critical spirit and checking whether the product is really relevant to be used on the network. Ansp also seeks to be in tune with what the academic community propose experimentally, always aiming to create patterns or alternatives to the market.
Studies on Temporal Analysis and Statistics
The monitoring of a metropolitan computer network consist basically in collecting, registering, storing and presenting data relative to this traffic network. However, this is not an elementary task for network managers, since there are numerous techniques for collection and storage, and different forms of analysis.
Moreover, the objectives of each manager are varied and distinct: can range from statistical surveys itself and traffic analysis to future projections, to programming alerts and proactive activities.
Ansp Network researchers involved in studies on temporal analysis and statistics techniques investigate the most appropriate mathematical tools to analyze network traffic academic, that enable to understand traffic behavior and detect anomalies in a monitored environment, preventing problems.
Studies on Management Knowledge
For Ansp Network to continue fulfilling its vanguard role in new technologies, an organizational culture focused on a promotion of research, knowledge and its management has been settled in recent years, even in an informal way.
This routine appeared as a result of managerial practices used in overtime and with its team contribution; that way, it helped the creation and logical architecture development of Academic Traffic Exchange Point (PTTA) of São Paulo.
I.M. justified the development of procedures and management tools of network servers, required for the formation of an organizational culture focused on knowledge as a facilitator of new technologies assimilation.Given the current technological profile required for the internet, Ansp has kept a constant disposition to enlarge this learning culture and knowledge search for its partners, network members and suppliers.
Studies on Information Management
Once established Ansp Network Infrastructure and Information Technology, the next step to facilitate Knowledge Management is promote Information Management by creating a knowledge plataform (structure) and refinement of existing data ad information (content).
We call knowledge platform the intregation between website, intranet, internal blog and management system. The knowledge cycle, that started in 2006 with changes on management practices and work processes for creation and adaptation team to each of these tools, has promoted many improvements on the Intellectual Capital of the program.
